Darts at The Horseshoe, Clerkenwell.

I popped into The Horseshoe pub in Clerkenwell last week. A wonderfully non-hipster boozer, truly welcoming to all, and probably the best darts pub in London.

For a highly entertaining account of an evening or afternoon darts match, I can highly recommend Tom Brandhorst’s write-up in the excellent ‘Clerkenwell Pub Guide’ (available at the Exmouth Cultural Kiosk on Exmouth Market). ‘It’s such a cosmopolitan bunch. Young lads in media mixing it with city boys. Old geezers paired with spritely Europeans. I struggle to think of another environment in which a spectrum of society gets brought together so successfully’.
